We Are:

  • A non-profit organization representing California's Park and Recreation Commissioners and Board Members.

  • Affiliated with the California Parks and Recreation Society (CPRS) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA).

We Serve:

  •  We serve over 196 agencies with 1475 as the number of individuals from various park and recreation cities, counties and districts within California.

The California Association of Park and Recreations Commissioners and Board Members, (CAPRCBM) presented their annual  scholarship awards in March 2008, at the Annual Conference and Banquet to:

Scholarship applicants should visit the CPRS web site www.cprs.org to obtain an application form. The California Foundation for Parks and Recreation receives the applications and selects the winner for the CAPRCBM Scholarship. The recipient is recognized at the annual Awards and Installation Banquet of CAPRCBM at the conference.

The Scholarship Fund Committee of CPRS annually reviews and awards the scholarship. Student eligibility includes status as a junior, senior or graduate students; and a declared major in a recreation, park, environmental, therapeutic, commercial or natural resources discipline.

Eligibility requirements yearly calendar and scholarship applications are mailed to all state universities, districts and section presidents and other officials of the California Park & Recreation Society (CPRS).
