Dr. Fred Brooks is a retired, Emeritus, Professor of Recreation
and Parks Management at California State University, Chico. In 2006,
he was elected to the Chico Area Recreation and Park District Board of
Directors. In 2007, he was elected to the Butte County Special
Districts Executive Committee. The CPRS Parks Operation Scholarship is
presented in his honor.
He has extensive
experience as an Administration and Consultant in the Parks and Recreation
field. He and his students have helped recreati0on and park
departments throughout CA with their planning, design and other needs.
He has served as Chair of the Scholarship Foundation Board, on the
Playground Safety Committee and at many CPRS Conference and Training
Institutes. Fred is married and has four daughters, one son and
grandchildren. |
