 I was born in Long Beach, Ca and raised in the cities of Lakewood and Cerritos in Southern California.. I am a graduate of the New York University with a BS in Sociology, the United States Army Advance Officers Course, the United States Army Practical Nurse and Combat Medical Specialist Courses. I am the father of two daughters.
Since being appointed to the City of Roseville's Parks and Recreation Commission, I continue to be very active in my community. Since 1984 I have been certified by the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross to teach CPR to the public. I am active in my daughter's Girl Scout Troop as the assistant troop leader and as the Level 2 First Aider and area organizer. I am also a "F" class soccer coach and have coached my daughter's soccer team for the past 4 years. In 2002, my fellow parents elected me to the elementary school’s site council. Since 1996, I have been employed by Western Career College as a Vocational Nursing Instructor and prior to that as a High School teacher in the Los Angeles area. I received my nursing license in 1981 and have supported myself through college working in various hospitals. In 2000 I retired from the United States Army with the rank of Major. Some of the recognitions I have received include: the Meritorious Service Medal, the American Red Cross Dr. Louis Crowl Award, Teacher of the Year from Roseville Start A Heart / Save a Heart and the Expert Field Medical Badge. |
