Awards and Installation Banquet:
Each year CAPRCBM holds an Awards and Installation Banquet as part of
the California and Pacific Southwest Recreation and Park Conference.
Recognizing the importance of honoring worthy and valued contributions
to the park and recreation profession, the Board of Directors bestows
appreciation to the Outstanding Commission, Outstanding Professional,
Outstanding Commissioner and also presents a Special Award. In
2008, the President’s Award was established by the Board of Directors to
recognize an individual who has made a major contribution toward park
and recreation facilities and programs that will service a public park
and recreation agency and its participants for many years. The
deadline for annual award consideration is November 1.

OUTSTANDING COMMISSIONER:
Ron Ruef, Commissioner, City of Mission Viejo Parks and Recreation
Commission.
OUTSTANDING COMMISSION:
Parks and Recreation Commission, City of Fontana.
OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL:
Phil Hester, Director of Parks, Recreation, and Marine Department,
City of Long Beach.
OUTSTANDING SPECIAL AWARD: Pat O’Brien, East Bay Regional Park District, Oakland, California.
PRESIDENT'S AWARD:
Mike Shellito, City Manager, City of Roseville. |
